In 1997 I opened the "Stamp Store" in Flatwoods Kentucky to sell of course rubber stamps and accessories. A few years later I added scrapbook papers and lot of goodies to enhance our creative side.

In 2009 I was approached by Carter Caves State Resort Park to hold a scrapbook workshop. Since then it has taken off like wildfire!

This will be our 19th season of retreats. It just keeps getting bigger and better. You will find that this retreat is very different from all of the others. We offer quick make-it-and-take-it classes as well as many workshops.

If you are the type of woman who wishes to have four days to be creative amoung the beautiful surroundings of Kentucky's most beautiful resort parks.... then this is the place for you!

The lodge offers you a choice of a two-bed room or perhaps you would like to stay in one of their modern cottages.

The cost of a room at the lodge is $74.95 plus tax and fees. The cost of a cabin is $149.95 plus tax and fees. I realize that most retreats around here charge $130.00 and more for just one room with one bed, so Carter Caves has a wonderful rate reserved just for us!

When you call to sign up at the lodge, make sure you inform them that you want the "special rate" for the retreat. Their phone number is 606-286-4411.

The cost of the retreat is $80.00. This is non-refundable. Please mail your checks to the address under "Contacts"

During our retreat, we will have make-it-and-take-it projects every day. There is a small fee for these activities. If you wish to bring your sewing machine, then that is fine. Ladies bring heavy duty extension cords and duct tape to secure them to the floor. I ask that no one wears perfume or scented sprays, so many are allergic to smells. I wanted to mention that you are welcome to bring a TV tray to sit next to your table to hold your "stuff". We want to make sure that there is plenty of walk space around the tables in case of an emergency. We don't want any fire hazards.

The dining room is located next to our crop room. They usually have a soup and salad bar each day. The buffet is wonderful with a huge variety of great home cooked meals.

The lighting was replaced a couple of years ago and it is wonderful!

I run a tab on what you spend and total it up when you get ready to leave. I do not accept any credit cards. Cash or checks only.

We do not allow any children under 18 years of age and no men. Sorry, this is a time for ladies to get away and have fun!
